Point buying checklist involved in a purchase of property.
1. Obtain
pre-approval from Lender.
This will assist you to set your finance parameters of what you can afford to buy.

Select a Solicitor.
It is important to choose a Solicitor who has experience in property law and can explain the legal aspects of the Contract to you.
3. Find
Property, factor location, amenities, area of the property.
4. Have lawyer
review Contract carefully.
A contract is an important legal document that contains information regarding the property you are purchasing as well as your obligations as a purchaser under the Contract.
5. Calculate all
estimated expenses including stamp duty, insurance, levy adjustments.
6. Do professional
property inspections such as Building & Pest Reports
This can potentially save you a great deal of expense by allowing you to have a professional opinion as to the state of the property.
7. Arrange
formal loan approval.
8. Finalize
negotiations on terms of Contract such as Price, and settlement dates
9. Finalize
unconditional formal loan approval from your lender.
This approval will usually have the property details, loan amount, and interest rate details.
